Lambert ha sido actor de musicales desde que tenía 10 años, actuó como Linus en San Diego en la producción teatral “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” en el “Lyceum Theater”6 y entre otros realizó una gira por Europa durante 6 meses participando en Hair (musical).
Desempeñó el papel de Joshua en la obra “The Ten Commandments: The Musical” en el Teatro Kodak el mismo teatro, donde se realizarían, años mas tarde, las audiciones de la fase final para su temporada como participante de American Idol. En la obra apareció junto al actor Val Kilmer, posteriormente se editó un Dvd del musical7 y se editó el sencillo de la actuación principal de Adam Lambert “Is Anybody Listening?”.
Actuaba en el musical Wicked en el personaje de Fiyero hasta que se incorporó en American Idol.
Desde 2004 realizó actuaciones glam en el Zodiac Show, co-creado por Carmit Bachar de las Pussycat Dolls, también realizó actuaciones de estilo mas íntimo en el Upright Cabaret.
Lambert ha citado varias influencias musicales, como Queen, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Aerosmith y Led Zeppelin
Los Angeles Times entrevistó en profundidad a Adam Lambert publicando una serie de cuatro entrevistas denominadas “Adam Lambert: The ultimate interview”, enfocándose en profundidad en los primeros años de su carrer

Hey, I really hope you take a second to read this because you might be in trouble and I’m trying to raise awareness, no bull. Have you noticed that your browser is slow or it has random delays? Has your computer slowed down since you bought it (especially in the last few weeks)? Norton released an article of a new virus that’s been running around and causing mayhem, called “LORD ganesh”. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
